Sylvain Leurent began his career as a photographer while working in several development NGOs in France and Asia. His photo report, made with the NGO « Pour Un sourire d’Enfant » (For a child’s smile) in Cambodia, was exhibited at the cultural center « Franchomme » in Hem (59) in 2005.
After a last year-long mission in Vietnam in 2006, he turned to photography and went back to school at ENS Louis Lumière where he graduated in 2010.
He went to Eritrea in 2009 to report on Orthodox monks in mountainous areas. Part of this work was published in Eritrea Art Time.
He demonstrated his concerns for the challenges of our society in his series « Trait d’Union », on our relationship with connectivity wich was nominated « coup de cœur » in the 2014 Eurazeo contest. He thus integrates the photographic collections of this company, recognized patron in photography.
He is now represented by the agency « La Belle Façon », which supports him in his various projects.
Kalima Hammond is in charge of audiovisual production. From the conception to the dissemination of the artistic projects (documentaries, fictions, short films, photo production…), she brings together the financial, human and logistic conditions so these projects can become reality.
Other than her activities, travel and encounter are central to her life. She has lived in Turkey and in the United States and crossed many countries, equipped with a backpack and a camera.
In 2014, she co-directed a documentary portrait on Anass Yakine, ambassador of the NGO “Travel With A Mission”, who travelled Morocco on foot. This film was selected at the “Grand Bivouac” travel festival in Albertville in 2015 in the category “First Steps”.
For the 2017 edition of the festival “Les Défis de l’Aventure”, an adventure documentary festival in Fontanil, she was in charge of the category « Women Challenges ».
Kalima and Sylvain have collaborated on many artistic and commercial projects, around the world and in France. Foodorama is the natural extension of these projects and is the expression of their personal stride to raising awareness on essential issues.
